Continual Collaborations

Here we are halfway through 2023 and our commitment to educating child safety and advocating for children remain steadfast. We know that protecting children is an ongoing collaborative effort that requires continuous awareness and action. We thank you for your collaboration and support. Help us celebrate our wins for this month through various initiatives:

JUNE MONTHLY WINS:

  • We are able to revisit a remote island and this has been an answered prayer. This time over 50 children joined the education and feeding program and we are able to train 7 adult volunteers who will continue teaching these children about the child safety lesson booklet in the next 10 weeks.

  • One of the most exciting training we did this month is with the parents at a child center. We talked about the rights of a child and laws protecting children in the Philippines. Some parents shared that they do not know children have rights nor are they familiar with the laws protecting children. What a win to be able to educate 36 parents about this.

  • Club Kinabuhi “CK” is the monthly gathering we consistently do each month for parents and at-risk children. Our goal is for CK parents and children to have a holistic well-being. This month’s focus is spirituality. And we love seeing the progress in faith with our families each time we meet.

WHAT’S TO COME:

  • Online training and face-to-face trainings

  • Speaking invitations at child center and churches

  • New barangay outreach

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Please pray for opportunities to go to more islands in the Philippines like Luzon or Mindanao where OSAEC is also reportedly happening

  • Please pray for more barangay outreach for children

  • Please pray we can grow our reach to more than 50 children in each barangay outreach. This time because of manpower and resources we can only cater up to 50 children when we do the 8 lesson booklet training at each barangays.

  1. (Barangay is the native Filipino term for district/village)
