Protecting Children and Strengthening Communities with Redeeming Zoe
In August, Redeeming Zoe continued its mission to combat child exploitation and abuse through community outreach, training, and awareness campaigns. Redeeming Zoe deepened its impact by actively engaging with local communities, providing education on child protection, and promoting preventive measures. Here are the wins we celebrate this month:
AUGUST WINS:
We are so proud of our office administrator who’s passionate about child protection and led training in her hometown. In the remote area of Davao De Oro, 55 children from a public elementary school, were educated about child protective behaviors and were given the RZ hygiene kit. The school administration is grateful for Redeeming Zoe’s heart to protect children and is so happy because it is the first time they heard of such protective measures that will surely help their children.
In the same town, another group of children received the same love and care where they were educated on how to protect themselves from different forms of abuse and exploitation and were given basic hygiene kits. In partnership with a local church the Magading Faith Baptist Mission, we gathered over a hundred children in two locations. We thank the Lord for meaningful connections that make a difference.
This month we continued our advocacy about trauma-informed care and we taught 47 young adults on the impact and common trauma responses and how to navigate those situations in a loving and caring manner. We are working to redeem the life one training empowerment at a time.
Club kinabuhi is something we are always passionate about, and this month our CK is back to school after school break. To help them jumpstart the new school year we gave out school supplies and foodpacks.
We are so grateful for all your prayers and support. This means more families and children are being equipped and empowered to stand up for themselves, fight abuse, and find hope in Jesus.
