Sharing the Joy-Filled Life
Despite April being the hottest month recorded in history, Redeeming Zoe continued to serve children and families. Thanks to the hard work, prayer, and dedication of the staff, program volunteers, and supporters like you. Here are some victories we want to celebrate with you:
APRIL MONTHLY WINS:
Our CK Teens joined a chruch youth camp. It was their first time and they had so much fun. They found new friends from the church community and they can’t wait to join the next one. One of them shared how happy and stress-free he was during the camp so now he wants to strive hard to help his family so that they may have that same feeling of happiness, not worrying about life’s problems. We pray that God will continue to touch our children's lives.
Dealing with government permits here in the Philippines is never easy, and thanks to our dedicated office administrator we are able to renew government permit requirements for building and operations. We also gained our accreditation and recognition as a government partner entity for community development in a certain town in Cebu. We are so proud!
Educating children about their private body parts, such as genitals, and explaining the importance of keeping them private is essential in keeping them safe from harm, especially here in the Philippines where it's very common to see children playing outside without pants. One of the lessons we talked about in our Barangay outreach is the public and private body parts and we are glad the children understood the lesson about body positivity and healthy boundaries.
We cannot miss our monthly Club Kinabuhi parents gathering and food pack distribution, and this time our lesson focused on values and how important it is to guide them in making meaningful life decisions. One mother said my top value is love, and now I know I should choose to respond to my family in a loving way because that will make me happy.
