A Time of Love and Outreach

The first quarter of 2023 officially ended. They say time appears to pass more quickly when you are doing what you love, and we couldn’t agree more here at Redeeming Zoe Cebu. March came by so quickly and we are delighted to share some of the things we do out of love:

MARCH MONTHLY WINS:

• Last month we talked about starting a new barangay outreach program and that is still ongoing. Our highlight for this month is that, aside from the weekly feeding and child safety lesson, we were able to distribute hygiene kits to the children. They are so happy to receive toothbrushes, toothpaste, body soap, shampoos, nail clippers etc. Some kids never had a toothbrush of their own. The kids are so grateful for what they received, and we want to thank you for enabling us.

• Children from poor families are at greater risk of being exploited to work because of poverty. And because of that we did training for our Club Kinabuhi parents about child labor. Parents were educated about the laws protecting children against the worst forms of child labor and exploitation and we are so glad parents learned so much from it.

• Club Kinabuhi teens celebrated the completion of their “I can be strong, smart and safe" lesson. They went for a wonderful community building activity by the beach. They had fun playing games, sharing learning experiences, and just celebrating one another having a safe place to play, laugh and have fun as children.

• Please pray that the Lord will guide our organization and our team, as we navigate through this new quarter and exciting season

• Please pray the Lord will enable us to revisit the island ministry soon

• Pray for our Club Kinabuhi teens as they start to navigate church community and the love of Jesus in their life

• Pray for a fruitful and productive year for Redeeming Zoe and more training opportunities
