“I know God sees me”

June is a school break for all public school students here in the Philippines, and with school break comes fun summer activities. The month of June is one of the busiest we have so far and we are so excited to share several of our impactful activities, our monthly wins:

JUNE WINS:

  • We spoke at our church Kids Camp, empowering 76 children to have a stronger faith and foundation. The kids interact with teachers and leaders who serve as positive role models. Our lesson from RZ includes teaching children about the characteristics of a safe adult and who they can turn to when they need help.

  • Club Kinabuhi Teens participated in a youth camp, and we are so excited because it offers our CK Teens an environment where they can deepen their relationship with God through worship, prayer, and studying the Bible. We hope that the CK teens can build meaningful relationships with peers who share similar values and beliefs and a community that can provide support, encouragement, and lifelong friendships. One CK Teen said after attending camp, “I learned I am important and know God sees me. “

  • Our team participated in a conference called CodeRed. We are one of the 11 organizations who are invited to conduct a two-day breakout session, and our topic includes raising awareness about human trafficking, and online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC).  We also talked about the importance of having a child protection policy especially if your organization is dealing with children to safeguard and prevent abuse from happening. A total of 25 participants from five organizations participated in our breakout session. Everyone was interactive and potential partnerships for in-depth training are coming our way.

  • We are thrilled to share about our wonderful partnership this month with the Eleison Foundation. They engaged with our Club Kinabuhi families, offering valuable insights and practical strategies for stress management. Their expertise and compassionate approach have greatly benefited our community, equipping families with tools to handle stress more effectively and enhance their overall well-being. This collaboration has been a significant step in supporting our families' mental and emotional health.

  • New Partnerships
